HP Pavilion 7g still under warranty, but is not being fixed - HP Pavillion g7-1310us


I bought my HP Pavilion g7-1310us in May. This laptop has a 1 year warranty. I came home the other night, and my laptop would not turned on. I contacted their customer service and talked over an hour. They asked me to sent the laptop to them, and I asked if it could be fixed. They said, they could fix anything. Now, I've just got a call from them said they could not fix and it is due to liquid spill or something. I felt betrayed, they are cheating. My laptop is still under warranty, been shipped to them for nothing. They just said they could not fix. I paid over $500 just for a laptop to use for 6months. HP is cheating. Their warranty is nothing than writing without action. I feel very disappointed, and I'm going to get rid of all my HP products. It does not worth to stay loyal to a company that is not loyal to you.

Did you (or someone who had access to your laptop) actually spill liquid in it? If you did, then they are being fair; the manufacture's warranty doesn't cover accidental damage (like spills or dropping it) unless you paid extra for accidental damage coverage. That is never included in the warranty. Otherwise less scrupulous individuals might just "accidentally" spill coffee on it or run over it in the driveway right before their free warranty's up & say "I have a warranty, gimme a new one."
